Buba: German growth to rise further
Germany’s economic growth is set to rise further in the beginning of the year, a monthly report from the country’s Bundesbank (Buba) issued on Monday stated. Industry is contributing most to the growth as both domestic and foreign demand for German industrial products are strong. The sector grew a seasonally adjusted 3.75% in January compared to the previous month.
Buba stated that GDP and employment growth figures remain strong in the second half of 2016.
The labor market is expanding significantly, as the central bank announced that the number of employed persons in German rose by 609,000 or 1.4% year on year in January.
