Business description
Burgenland Holding AG was founded on January 25, 1990 as a holding company for the partial privatization of BEGAS Energie AG and Burgenländische Fernsehenwirtschafts-AG (BEWAG). It holds 49% of the share capital of Burgenland Energie AG (formerly Energie Burgenland AG), which was created from the merger of BEGAS Energie AG (BEGAS) into Burgenländische Fernsehenwirtschafts-AG (BEWAG) at the end of June 2012 with retroactive effect to September 30, 2011. The remaining 51% of the shares are held by Landesholding Burgenland GmbH.
