Charlottesville protests: One dead, Ohio man to face charges

One 32-year-old woman died and 19 more were injured after an incident during yesterday's protests in Charlottesville, Virginia when a car plowed into the crowd. James Fields, a 20-year-old man from Ohio, is being held on charges related to the crash.

Meanwhile, US president Donald Trump faced criticism for his response to the violence at the rally in Charlottesville as Republican Senator Cory Gardner stated:"Mr. President, we must call evil by its name. These were white supremacists and this was domestic terrorism." Apparently, Trump didn't explicitly condemn the far-right.

Yesterday, hundreds of people opposing the views of the far-right group entered the crowd of white nationalists and the two sides started violent clashes. The Department of Justice opened a civil rights investigation in relation to the incident.
