EIA: U.S. crude stocks fall by 5.2 million barrels
U.S. oil inventories decreased by 5.2 million barrels to 468.7 million barrels in the week ending October 14, U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA) reported on Wednesday. A week before that, oil stocks rose by 4.9 million barrels.
Crude oil refinery inputs averaged about 15.4 million barrels per day last week, which is 182,000 per day less than the previous week. Refineries operated at 85.0% of their capacity.
Crude oil imports averaged over 6.9 million barrels per day in the same period, which is 954,00 barrels per day less than the week before that.
