European markets close flat to higher
Main stock indexes in Europe finished flat to higher on Thursday as investors absorbed the latest earnings reports, remaining cautious due to political uncertainties in relation to the announced snap election in the United Kingdom and the French presidential race.
The FTSE 100 in London edged up 0.06% on the closing bell. The German DAX added 0.09% when the session ended, as Lufthansa topped the list of gainers, adding 4.67% at the end of the day. In Paris, the CAC 40 settled 1.48% higher, with BNP Paribas as the biggest winner of the day, as the bank registered a rise of 3.96%.
