Fink: Trump should simplify regulatory framework
Blackrock Chairman and CEO Larry Fink told Fox News that United States President Donald Trump should make the regulatory framework simpler, keeping the rules that protect the system, but eliminating those that harm the American economy.
Fink said he had told the US president "a reduction in regulation is necessary”, as it would "unlock some money" and streamline the economy.
"But probably the simplest thing the president can do is to really focus on infrastructure," said the CEO of the world's largest money manager, adding that the states cannot really afford to improve infrastructure on their own.
On Thursday evening, US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the main objective of the competent authorities that are reviewing the existing regulations is to spot the conflicting ones. Their report is due to be published in early June.
