ISIS claims responsibility for Paris attack
The Islamic State group on Thursday named the attacker involved in the Paris shooting and claimed responsibility for the attack that killed a police officer and seriously wounded two more.
Just prior to this announcement, outgoing French President Francois Hollande said that he vas convinced that the attack was “terrorist-related.” He said that he would arrange a security cabinet meeting tomorrow morning. Hollande ensured that security forces will be highly vigilant, especially in relation to the election process.
French presidential candidates Marine Le Pen and Francois Fillon cancelled campaign events tomorrow. Fillon also called for campaigning to be suspended.
French Interior Ministry said that a second suspect who might have been involved in the incident on the Champs Elysees shopping boulevard may still be on the loose.
