ISM: U.S. manufacturing expands in November
U.S. manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 53.2% in November from 51.9% in October, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) reported on Thursday.
The new orders index increased by 0.9 percentage points to 53% in November from October, while the production index rose 1.4 percentage points to 56%. The employment index fell 0.6 percentage points to 52.3%.
Inventories of raw materials grew by 1.5 percentage points to 49% in November from October. The prices index remained unchanged at 54.5%.
