Johnson: UK expects 'happy' outcome in Brexit talks

The United Kingdom believes there will be a “happy” outcome for both Britain and the European Union as the country is set to begin negotiations for withdrawing from the bloc, AFP quoted UK foreign secretary Boris Johnson on Monday.

The negotiations, which will include talks about the UK’s “divorce bill” and the Northern Ireland border, are to begin later today in Brussels, with Brexit secretary David Davis representing the UK and Michel Barnier as the EU’s chief negotiator.

Davis vowed ahead of the talks to call for a “deal like no other in history.”
