Ohio State police confirms suspect of attack shot
The Ohio State University Police confirmed on Monday that the suspect of today's attack on campus Abdul Razak Ali Artan has been shot and killed by the officer Alan Horujko, according to its Twitter page.
Earlier today the police tweeted a warning that there was an active shooter at Ohio State University and advised students and staff to avoid the College area. However, according to media reports, the man in fact stabbed several people with a butcher knife, injuring nine, after which the police engaged with the suspect. Among the hospitalized victims, eight are believed to be in a stable condition, while another patient in a critical condition is expected to survive.
Officials said that Artan was of Somali descent and that he was listed as a logistics management major in Ohio State's online directory.
