Poll: Macron ahead of Le Pen with 25% of votes
New survey conducted by Harris Interactive on the upcoming French presidential election showed on Thursday that the centrist frontrunner Emmanuel Macron leads the current race against other presidential candidates with 25%. President of the National Front Marine Le Pen obtained 22% of votes.
According to the poll, right-wing Le Pen also leads against the embattled former Prime Minister Francois Fillon’s 19% that decreased slightly from previously obtained 19.5%. Left-wing Jean-Luc Melenchon’s figure remained unchanged at 19% of votes.
The poll was conducted for two days starting April 18,2017, and included 3,064 participants. The sample consisted of French nationals over 18 years of age with 2,812 of them identified as registered voters.
