Russia, Syria stop airstrikes on Aleppo
Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday that Russia and Syria have halted strikes over Aleppo at 8 a.m. CET. The move comes ahead of the announced humanitarian pause scheduled for October 20.
This way, safe passage of civilians from eastern Aleppo along six corridors and the evacuation of the sick and wounded will be ensured.
Tomorrow, military experts will have a meeting in Geneva to begin work on separating “terrorists” from Syria’s opposition, Shoigu said.
