Trump leaving business to focus on presidency
United States President-elect Donald Trump stated on Wednesday over Twitter that he will be “leaving his great business in total to fully focus” on the presidency. Trump said he was ready to renounce his position as head of his companies in order to “make America great again.”
The business mogul noted on Twitter that he is doing this to avoid any “conflict of interest with his favorite businesses.” Trump also said that he doesn’t have any legal requirements binding him to do that but he feels that “a presidency is a far more important task.” “Hence legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations,” the president-elect added on social media.
Trump will hold a “major news conference” in New York City on December 15 with his children present to talk over his resignation from his businesses.
