Trump picks congressman Price for health secretary
U.S. president-elect Donald Trump chose Representative Tom Price (pictured), a Republican congressman from Georgia, for the position of secretary of health and human services, the New York Times reported on Tuesday, citing a transition team official.
The official announcement is expected later today, according to the paper.
Dr. Price, a six-term congressman and an orthopedic surgeon, is a critic of ObamaCare. He has been proposing an alternative to the Affordable Care Act to every Congress since 2009.
