Trump tweets his ties with Russia are 'fake news'
United States President Donald Trump tweeted on Monday: "James Clapper and others stated that there is no evidence Potus colluded with Russia. This story is FAKE NEWS and everyone knows it!"
Later today, FBI director James Comey and National Security Agency chief Mike Rogers are scheduled to testify at the House Intelligence Committee hearing on the alleged Russian interference in the US election, Trump's alleged links to Kremlin, as well as the president's allegations he was wiretapped by the Obama administration.
Over the weekend, Clapper, former director of national intelligence, denied there was any wiretapping of the president's phone in Trump Tower. "There was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president, the president-elect at the time, or as a candidate, or against his campaign," he told NBC. Earlier Clapper stated there was "no evidence" of Trump's "collusion" with Russia.
