Trump: We will fight for low energy prices for all Americans
During his weekly address, United States President Donald Trump said he continued to keep his promises to the nation by signing two pieces of legislation in the past week.
Trump said he removed the 'wasteful' regulations and his aim remains to 'get people back to work.' He signed House Joint Resolution 38 to stop the costly Stream Protection Rule from further damaging the coal industry. The president said, "We will fight for low energy prices for all Americans."
US president also signed legislation to scrap Dodd-Frank rule on oil extraction.
Trump also emphasized his priority was to make sure women fulfilled their full potential by ensuring they had equal access to markets, capital and networks. The president also looked back at meetings with Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump said terrorism was a major threat and will be defeated.
