Turkish police kill suspect bomber in Ankara
A man died in an exchange of fire with the police in Ankara during a counter-terrorism operation, Anadolu Agency reported on Wednesday. The article quotes an unnamed security source saying the person, suspected to be affiliated with the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or Daesh, refused to surrender and that explosives were found at his home. Police had information he was preparing a suicide attack.
The operation was reportedly conducted in Etimesgut district of the capital of Turkey. Demonstrations in Ankara are banned through November 30, and earlier this week the local authority warned of potential terrorist attacks.
