Wall Street set to open higher as oil prices increase
United States stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Tuesday as investors awaited earnings from companies including FedEx and Nike which are scheduled to report after the bell. Meanwhile, oil traded with gains on expectations of continued output cuts from OPEC and non-OPEC producers.
The Dow Jones is expected to edge up 0.07%, the Nasdaq 100 is seen 0.20% in the green and the S&P 500 is seen increasing 0.21%.
Brent crude for May delivery rose 0.77% to go for $52.03 per barrel and WTI for May climbed 0.80% to sell for $49.29 per barrel at 11:45 am CET.
