10 killed in India, Pakistan clashes in Kashmir

At least ten people were killed in clashes between India and Pakistan in Kashmir on Thursday, Pakistan confirmed.

At the Line of Control between the two countries, eight military personnel were killed on two separate occasions. Among the eight are three Pakistani soldiers and five members of the Indian military. The sides continue to exchange fire in the area, according to Islamabad's military.

In another incident in Rawalakot, two civilians were killed and one person was injured. No further details were given.

Tensions between India and Pakistan intensified after India decided to strip Kashmir, which has a Muslim majority, of its special status.
