10-year Treasury yield falls to three-year low

The 10-year Untied States Treasury yield fell to lows last seen three years ago as investors focused on safe haven assets amid global trade uncertainties and high stock market volatility. Earlier in the day, the 30-year bond yields, which move in the opposite direction compared to bond prices, fell to a new all-time low.

The US 2-year note yield was at 1.49%, declining by 0.087 basis points at 2:08 pm ET. The yield on the 10-year Treasury was 1.512%, down by 0.068 basis points at 2:10 pm ET, only minutes after hitting 1.5%. The 30-year Treasury yield remained below 2% and was at 1.972% as it fell by 0.058 basis points at 2:11 pm ET. Corresponding bond futures rose 0.16%, 0.51% and 0.76%, respectively, all at 2:02 pm ET.
