15 Russian firms approved to stay listed abroad

Ivan Chebeskov, Director of the Financial Policy Department of the Russian Ministry of Finance, announced on Wednesday that 15 Russian companies, including Norilsk Nickel and Novatek, received permission to remain listed on foreign exchanges.

According to the ministry, 19 out of 36 Russian companies with depositary receipts requested this permission, and only 15 successfully obtained it. Gazprom previously announced that its request to remain listed overseas was rejected.

Russian President Vladimir Putin made companies delist their depositary receipts earlier in April to reduce foreign countries' influence.
