3 dead, hundreds injured after earthquake in Iran
Three people lost their lives while hundreds more were injured following a deadly 5.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Iran earlier on Saturday, while as many as 580 people were reported to be wounded so far.
According to the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), Iranian emergency officials dispatched rescue teams to the city of Khoy, where the quake also caused major infrastructure damage.
Media reports also suggested local authorities consider establishing field hospitals in response to the situation. Power cuts were also reported in some affected areas.
