23% of COVID patients in Moscow have antibodies
ELISA diagnostics showed that 22.8% of Moscow residents infected with the coronavirus have antibodies, Moscow Health Secretary Svetlana Strigunkova said on Wednesday.
The detection of the COVID-19 antibodies is based on enzyme-linked insoluble preparations of antigens in the tested patient's blood. According to her statement, one million ELISA tests have been carried out in the Russian capital's region.
A few days ago, Russian expert Rinat Maksyutov expressed his optimism that the pandemic will end by the end of 2021, mainly due to the expected vaccination and herd immunity.
