41% of Americans report worse finances since 2020
41% of people in the United States reported their finances are in a worse condition than when President Joe Biden came to power in 2020, the highest percentage since 1986, according to a poll for ABC. 16% of respondents said they are better off.
Only 31% of respondents who leaned Democrat said they want Biden to be nominated for reelection in 2024, with 58% wanting someone else. Among Republicans, 44% support former President Donald Trump, while 49% would prefer another candidate. Neither candidate currently has a clear lead, as 48% of respondents would vote for Trump and 44% for Biden, with a 3.5% margin of error.
