5.1-magnitude tremor hits Turkmenistan
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 shook the Balkan Province of Turkmenistan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported on Wednesday.
According to the data, the quake's epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers at 9:04 local time, around 55 kilometers northeast of Balkanabat, the capital of the province, and home to almost 90,000 residents. No damage has been reported so far.
