Amazon surges above $3,000 per share for first time surged above $3,000 per share on Monday and reached a new all-time high.

The stock was higher as the Nasdaq 100 traded on record highs and surpassed 10,500 points for the first time in history amid optimism over a potential coronavirus vaccine and good services sector figures from the United States.

Amazon was 3.82% in the green as it went for $3,002 per share at 10:51 am ET after hitting $3,004.88 per share earlier in the session. The tech giant, which has profited from increasing online orders during the pandemic is now up 20.9% over the past month and 62.26% since the start of the year.
