No trade deal 'holds no fear' for UK - PM spox
United Kingdom Prime Minister spokesperson stressed on Tuesday that the country is ready for a Brexit scenario with no trade deal with the European Union, noting that such an outcome "holds no fear" for London.
The prime minister sees this moment in the negotiations with the bloc as "crucial," spokesperson revealed and added that the UK's willingness to find a solution acceptable to both sides hasn't faded.
Johnson has previously informed both French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel that London is ready to accept the no-deal Brexit if the two sides don't manage to find common ground by the end of the transition period. Earlier in the day, European Commission's Head of Task Force for Relations with the United Kingdom Michel Barnier asserted that the EU will remain "strong and united" until the talks' completion.
