US trade deficit up to $84.8 billion in November

The United States international goods trade deficit increased to $84.8 billion in November, up by $4.4 billion, or 5.5% compared to the prior month, the Census Bureau reported on Wednesday.

The country's exports increased $1.1 billion from last month to $127.2 billion, while imports rose $5.5 billion in the same time span to amount $212.0 billion.

Adjusted wholesale inventories for November were estimated to be at $649.0 billion, down 0.1% on a monthly and 2.2% on a yearly basis. Adjusted retail inventories in the same period are expected to be $616.9 billion, up 0.7% from October and down 7.1% from last year.
