Airbus posts revenue of €10.5 billion in Q3

Airbus SE announced on Thursday that its revenue stood at €10.52 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2021, 6% down year-on-year, while its net income landed at €710 million in contrast with last year's third-quarter net loss of €626 million.

The company's earnings per share (EPS) landed €0.51, down when compared to the €0.98 seen in the three-month period of 2020. In its financial results for the first nine months of 2021, the aerospace giant said that booked revenues of €35.15 billion, which is about 14% less year on year, while its profit came in at €3.44 billion, improving compared to 2020's €2.18 billion.

"The nine-month results reflect a strong performance across the company as well as our efforts on cost containment and competitiveness. As the global recovery continues, we are closely monitoring potential risks to our industry. We are focused on securing the A320 Family ramp up and striving to ensure the right industrial and supply chain capabilities are in place,” said Airbus Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury.
