Al Jazeera to launch right wing media outlet - report

Al Jazeera news network is launching a conservative media platform called Rightly to target American Republicans with Fox News veteran Scott Norvell as the editor-in-chief, Politico reported on Tuesday.

According to an anonymous former colleague of Norvell, Scott played a major role in transitioning the Heat Street news media "from libertarian youth-oriented site as originally envisaged to pro-Trump alt-right Breitbart clone". The first show on the new platform will be an interview-led program "Right Now" hosted by Stephen Kent. The first episode is scheduled to air on Thursday.

Doha based and funded by the state of Qatar, Al Jazeera had already launched a leftist American news TV channel, but as of 2016 remains online only, but still holds a significant presence.
