Amazon plans to invest $1 billion in digitizing the small and medium businesses in India, the company's Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos said in his speech at the Amazon SMBhav summit in New Delhi on Wednesday. He also asserted that the e-commerce giant expects its exports of "Make-In-India" goods to reach $10 billion by 2025.

"25 years ago Amazon was an SMB. Today we are announcing that we are going to invest $1 billion in digitizing SMBs. The 21st century is going to be the Indian century. The dynamism, the energy ... the growth. This country has something special and it's a democracy" Bezos stated.
