Multiple rockets strike Baghdad Green Zone

At least five missiles have struck the area surrounding the United States embassy in Baghdad, landing in the Green Zone, Sputnik reported on Tuesday.

The attack came shortly after the Pentagon announced it will pull additional 500 military troops from the Middle Eastern country by mid-January.

This is the first rocket attack that has hit the area since September.
