Aeroflot cancels flight to US, Mexico until March 2

PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines announced on Monday that it is canceling its flights to the United States, Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic scheduled for the period between February 28 and March 2.

The company explained the decision was made after Canada decided to close its airspace for aircraft from Russia in response to the country's invasion of Ukraine. It added the affected passengers can choose between getting a forced refund, changing the date of travel, or taking a different flight to an airport in Europe.

Aeroflot previously temporarily suspended its flights to a number of cities in Europe until various dates in March and to the United Kingdom and Ireland until May 23.
