Twitter to be delisted from NYSE on October 28

Twitter Inc. will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, the exchange said in a notice. The company seems set to be acquired by the world's richest man, entrepreneur Elon Musk, who visited its headquarters earlier, tweeting that he is "meeting a lot of cool people at Twitter today."

The Wall Street Journal also reported that on Tuesday Musk sent out borrowing notices to banks willing to provide loans for his $44 billion takeover. The banks have now started sending the requested $13 billion, which will be available to Musk "once final closing conditions are met," according to unnamed sources.
