Ant Group CEO promises workers company will go public - report

Eric Jing, executive officer of Ant Group Co., an affiliate of Alibaba Group, promised his employees that the fintech giant's management has plans for the company to ultimately go public, The Wall Street Journal reported citing a memo posted on the firm's internal website.

Jing said that the management of the company would look to help its employees monetize their stake at the company and that it is looking for a "short-term liquidity solution" which would take effect in April.

Ant Group's plans to get an IPO have faced difficulties due to the regulatory crackdown its founder Jack Ma underwent after criticizing the government in Beijing.
