API shows increase in crude inventories - report

American Petroleum Institute's (API) weekly report on Tuesday showed an increase of 6.86 million barrels in crude oil inventories, according to US media reports. Reportedly, reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma decreased by 0.4 million barrels.

The sources say that gasoline volume rose by 2.2 million barrels, while in the distillates category, the numbers showed a decrease of 865,000 barrels.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for deliveries in June added 0.67% at 4:53 pm ET, to go for $66.19, while July Brent advanced 0.18%, going for $73.78 at the same time.
