Apple likely to miss iPhone release schedule - report

American technology giant Apple will probably start the production of a new more affordable iPhone later than expected, despite its production in China slowly returning to normal, according to sources cited by the Nikkei Asian Review.

The production could be delayed until March, the sources claimed, as Apple's suppliers from China have so far resumed just 30% to 50% of the usual production.

Yesterday, Apple revealed its revenue will likely miss the expectations in the quarter ending March due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus outbreak in the Asian country.
