Argentina beat France to advance to FIBA WC final

Argentina defeated France in the semi-finals of the FIBA Basketball World Cup to set up a showdown with Spain in Beijing on Sunday.

In a game that they controlled from start to finish, Argentina beat their European rivals 80-66. Their highest scorer was veteran forward Luis Scola with 28 points along with 13 rebounds. Facundo Campazzo had six assists. For the French, Evan Fournier and Frank Ntilikina both scored 16 points apiece while Rudy Gobert-Bourgarel had 11 rebounds. Rounding off the list was Nando de Colo with four assists.

The Argentinians will face arch-rivals Spain for the gold medal in Beijing on Sunday at 2 pm CET.
