Asia mixed after disappointing data
Major stock markets in Asia-Pacific traded mixed on Monday, after disappointing data in China. The country's industrial production saw an annual decline of 2.9%, while its retail sales plummeted 11.1%. Meanwhile, Japan's producer price index jumped 10% year over year.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.66% at 7:06 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite falling 0.55% a minute later. At 7:08 am CET, South Korea's Kospi Composite was down 0.09%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 0.17%, at 7:09 am CET.
The Australian S&P 200 rose 0.31% at 7:09 am CET, while Japan's Nikkei 225 added 0.49% at the same time. The dollar traded 0.17% lower against the yen at 7:10 am CET, selling for 128.98750.
