Asia mixed amid US-China dispute

Asia Pacific markets traded mixed on Friday as investors remained reserved as United States lawmakers failed to agree on a coronavirus economic relief deal. Traders are worried since US President Donald Trump stated earlier that his attitude towards China isn't "friendly." On the data front, there is no optimism coming from China. Retail sales in the country fell by 1.1% and there were no improvements regarding industrial production as well

In mainland China, the Shenzhen Composite went up by 0.46% at 7:32 am CET, with the Shanghai Composite adding 0.14% at 7:15 am CET. At 7:30 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng traded flat, as South Korea's Kospi declined 1.36%. Japan's Nikkei 225 increased by 0.10% at 7:28 am CET. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.44% at 7:32.

The dollar, fell 0.06% against the yen, going for ¥106.8630 at 07:22 am CET
