Asia mostly higher amid China, Japan data reports

Asian stock indexes traded mostly higher on Friday as reports on the service activity in China and Japan showed signs of economic recovery. Japan's Service PMI contracted the least in the last 15 months, while in China the service sector grew the fastest in four months. The monetary policy decisions from the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Chinese trade balance report are still to come today.

The Nikkei 225 was up by 0.22% at 4:45 am CET, and Hang Seng improved by 0.64% at the same time. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 added 0.31% at 4:46 am CET. The Kospi Composite was 0.62% higher at 4:26 am CET.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite climbed 0.35% at 4:46 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite was the only index with losses, down by 0.32% at 4:48 am CET.

The dollar traded just 0.06% higher compared to the yen and sold for 109.1470 at 4:49 am CET.
