Asia-Pacific mostly lower amid economic uncertainty

Major Asia-Pacific markets traded mostly lower on Thursday after Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda noted that when it comes to the outlook on Japan's economic activity, uncertainty is "extremely high." In addition, China's trade balance data were revealed.

At 7:14 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng and South Korea’s Kospi Composite decreased by 1.03% and 0.29% simultaneously. The Shanghai Composite rose 0.06% at the same time. The Shenzhen Composite lost 0.07% at 7:15 am CET.

At the close, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.89%. Japan's Nikkei 225 declined 1.37%. At 7:14 am CET, the dollar traded 0.54% below the yen, selling for 146.5725.
