Asia-Pacific mostly lower with China CPI in sight

Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly below the flatline on Thursday as China prepares to release its inflation numbers for May. Japan today posted better-than-expected figures in its second gross domestic product report.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped 0.33% at 4:14 am CET, while, the Shanghai Composite decreased by 0.17% and the Shenzhen Composite traded flat.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was muted a minute later. South Korea's Kospi Composite plunged by 0.32%, and Japan's Nikkei 225 fell by 0.06% concurrently. The dollar traded 0.11% lower against the yen, going for ¥139.9615 at 4:16 am CET.
