Asia-Pacific trades mixed as virus fears persist

Major stock market indexes in the Asia-Pacific region were mixed as fears over the global jump in coronavirus cases were slightly subdued as Australia recorded no new cases in a single day for the first time in four months. Meanwhile, a lawsuit showed that the Trump administration is pushing to implement its ban on TikTok.

Japan's Nikkei 225 was flat at 3:30 am CET and the dollar increased by 0.13% against the yen to go for 104.8675 at 4:19 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite fell 0..54% at 4:20 am CET, but the Shenzhen Composite gained 0.73% at 4:15 am CET. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was closed for a holiday.

Additionally, South Korea's Kospi declined by 0.26% at 4:21 am CET while the Australian S&P/ASX 200 increased by 0.04% at the same time.
