Asian markets lower amid earnings, coronavirus

Major stock markets in Asia continued trading below the flatline on Tuesday as the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic continues to weigh heavily on investor sentiment.

In Mainland China, Shanghai Composite lost 0.19% at 07:17 am CET while the Shenzhen Composite gained 0.75% at the same time. Hong Kong's Hang Seng slid 0.50% at 07:17 am CET.

In Tokyo, Nikkei 225 finished flat at 07:00 am CET. The dollar was 0.14% lower against the yen at 07:17 am CET, buying ¥104.6870.

In South Korea, the Kospi Composite fell 0.556% at 07:21 am CET, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 surrendered 1.70% at 07:02 am CET.
