Asian markets mixed after China inflation data

Equities in Asia traded mixed in the morning session on Friday, following the report from the China National Bureau of Statistics that showed a rise of inflation by 4.3% in March. Also the Bank of Japan's preliminary figures revealed that producer prices in Japan fell by 0.9% to 101.1 in March.

Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 0.72% at 7:30 am CET, as the dollar traded flat against the yen, selling for ¥108.4080 at 7:28 am CET while South Korea's Kospi Composite increased 1% 7:31 am CET. The Shanghai Composite slid 0.80% at 7:31 am CET. At the same time, the Shenzhen Composite inched 1.74% lower.

Stock markets in Australia and Hong Kong were closed for Easter holidays.
