Asian markets mixed after China's data

Asian markets traded mostly lower on Tuesday amid geopolitical tensions over Syria and after China released better than expected data that showed its economy grew 6.8% in the first quarter of 2018.

Japanese Nikkei 225 traded 0.12% in the green at 6:00 am CET. The dollar was 0.07% lower against the yen, to go for 107.0375 at 6:21 am CET.

China's Shanghai Composite went down 0.35% at 6:17 am CET while Shenzhen Composite was down 0.35% at the same time. Hong Kong's Hang Seng traded flat at 6:19 am CET.

South Korean Kospi Composite traded 0.19% in the red at 6:00 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 traded 0.32% higher at 6:20 am CET.
