Asian markets trade mixed after data

Asian markets traded mixed on Friday after Japan announced its producer prices fell by 0.9% in March while China revealed that its inflation rose by 4.3% in the same month. Focus remained on the coronavirus crisis as the total number of cases reported worldwide since the start of the pandemic exceeded 1.6 million.

Japan's Nikkei 225 lost 0.16% at 4:25 am CET. The dollar was flat against the yen, increasing 0.04% to 108.5030 at 4:28 am CET.

The Shenzhen Composite grew 0.30% at 4:26 am CET while the Shanghai Composite gained 0.22% at 4:21 am CET. South Korean Kospi declined 0.07% at 4:27 am CET.

Stock markets in Australia and Hong Kong were closed for holidays.
