AT&T's revenues at $38.1B in Q1
AT&T Inc. said on Thursday that its revenue in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to $38.1 billion, marking a 13% drop from the same quarter of the previous year but still topping estimates.
Diluted earnings per share (EPS) fell from $1.02 in the first trimester of 2021 to $0.65 this year, but also came in above expectations. Meanwhile, adjusted EPS stood at $0.77. Free cash flow was $0.7 billion.
"We had our best first quarter for postpaid phone net adds in more than a decade and our fiber broadband net adds remain consistently strong. Our results, including free cash flow, are in line with our expectations toward delivering on the full-year guidance provided at our recent Analyst Day," CEO John Stankey stated.
AT&T shares added 0.82% in premarket trading following the release of the results.
