Attorney General nominee William Barr is reportedly consulting with Justice Department officials on how to handle the special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the Russian alleged meddling in the 2016 US election, and also who will be his deputy, CNN reported citing people briefed on the discussions.

According to the report, Barr hasn't seen any part of Mueller's report nor has he been briefed on the Russia probe and is currently mulling what to report to Congress about Mueller's findings.

Barr is also discussing who will take over the role of Deputy Attorney General. Jeffrey Rosen, the deputy transportation secretary, is allegedly the top pick for the job.
